v0.1.2WindowsWeb app

The Aurometer, filters, template packs and the Studio

The biggest update yet. AuraSnipping no longer just frames your screenshot — it tells you how good the result is, and how to make it better.

The Aurometer

Every design now gets an Aura score from 0 to 1000, computed live as you edit. A solid ring shows where you are; a faint arc shows where you could be — and the suggestion chips close the gap. Each chip is measured, not guessed: tap “+20 Aura” and the score moves by exactly 20.

Under the hood it runs thirteen image metrics — exposure, contrast, sharpness, colourfulness, composition, cropped elements, leftover window chrome, text legibility and more — and automatically picks the right rubric for photos, screenshots, or a mix. Everything is analysed locally on your device: no uploads, no network, no AI quota.

Filters

Seven film-style colour grades — Warm, Punch, Fade, Cool, Velvet, Golden and Mono — applied at full resolution, with live swatches previewing each grade on your own image.

Template packs

14 ready-made designs across three packs — Real estate, Travel blog and Youtuber — each combining a background, an image band, editable text and a matching filter in one tap. Templates come with copy in English and Spanish, and the Adjust sliders keep working after a template lands.

The Studio

Tap the canvas to open a full-screen editor:

  • The artboard at true export size, zoomable (Fit / 100% / ±10%)
  • Drag your screenshot to reposition it inside the frame, plus a size slider
  • Text layers — add, drag, and style headlines in four bundled fonts

More ways to get an image in

  • Drag & drop a file anywhere onto the window
  • A file picker on the empty stage (with a + button on mobile)
  • Paste and the PrtScn hotkey work as always

Also new

  • English / Español — the whole app is now bilingual, defaulting to your device language
  • A redesigned Settings screen: plan card, license activation and restore, language switch, watermark toggle
  • 13 export formats grouped by destination — Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and Web — always at exact pixel dimensions
  • A short guided tour on first launch

Free & Pro

Everything above is part of the free app. Pro ($9.99/year) removes the watermark, unlocks all 144+ backgrounds, every filter, custom image backgrounds and unlimited presets — and the upgrade sheet now lists exactly which premium features your current design is using.
